General Summary:

The Pioneer Scheduler works with the facility Executive Directors to ensure that each facility has the appropriate medical staff scheduled on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The Scheduler will use the scheduling software to upload and confirm medical staff member’s schedules, identify medical staff members to fill any open slots, and update the back-up call schedule. The Scheduler reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Entry of schedules into scheduling software system.

· Coordinating with EDs (Executive Directors) for coverage needs and obtaining coverage.

· Contacting medical staff on behalf of EDs to fill scheduling needs.

· Coordination with the scheduling team on the back-up call schedule.

· Communicate changes to appropriate personnel: EDs, medical directors, physicians, and any others, as needed.

· Census management and administrator on-call rotation duties.

· Review and respond to incoming calls, texts, and emails, outside of regular business hours, regarding next day staffing changes.

· Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

· Assistance with shift reconciliation for payroll.

· All other duties as assigned.

· Position requires a person who can effectively communicate with individuals at all levels.

· Understanding of Census Management.

· Resolve problems or determine an appropriate course of action in a timely manner.

· Ability to multi-task and move from one project to another as needed.

· Strong time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.

· Good proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Excellent communication both written and verbal.

· Exceptional critical thinking skills.

· Fast paced environment that requires strong multitasking abilities.

· Good proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Detail oriented.

· Self – starter with strong desire to learn.

· Ability to complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

Education/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.

· Understanding Census Management.

· Knowledge of Qgenda or other scheduling software preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions:

· Corporate office & Remote.

· 20% Travel as needed.

· Full Time.
