Get to Know Me
Dr. Oliver Fowler was born in New York, NY, and was raised by his parents in Rockland County, NY along with his younger brother. He was fortunate enough to live close to his loving grandparents, who made a significant impression on his development and focus to pursue his vocation as a physician.
Dr. Fowler graduated from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He then earned a master’s degree in Health Sciences at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he also completed his medical education, earning a degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fowler completed his internal medicine residency training at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine at Largo Medical Center, in Largo Florida, where he served as the Chief Administrative Resident in his final year.
Dr. Fowler joined Pioneer Medical Group immediately after his residency and has served with our team at Advent Health Tampa since September of 2021. He is a participant on the Hospital Mortality Committee, the CDI Champion, and recently completed the Advent Health Hospital Medicine Leadership Fellowship in February of 2023.
Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and supportive wife, whom he has been in love with since they first met as high school sweethearts at the age of 16. Dr. Fowler loves to be challenged and spends his free time running and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also likes to try new restaurants, foods, coffees from around the world and to travel. He brings his fun-loving spirit and positive outlook to work everyday and is proud to be a member of such a fantastic and cohesive team.
