Congratulations Ronniel Mercado, MD | Vice President of Clinical Transformation

Ronniel Mercado, MD has been promoted to serve as Pioneer Medical Group’ s VP of Clinical Transformation.

Dr. Mercado is one of the Founding Member of Pioneer Medical Group. Originally from New Jersey where he earned his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School where he also completed his Internal Medicine residency.

During his service with Pioneer, Dr. Mercado has diligently worked as a hospitalist and aided in the development of the current operations and staffing process utilized by Pioneer. Applying his knowledge to the onboard new facilities and physician training.

Dr. Mercado has volunteered extensively at St. Joseph’ s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey, in its Infectious Disease department. As well as volunteering with our Pioneer Medical Foundation. In 2019 , Dr. Mercado graduated from the Advent Health Leadership fellowship program. He has also earned his Green Belt through the Lean Process Optimization Academy.

He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Advent Health Tampa and one of the Advent Health Tampa Residency Internal Medicine Program Teaching Facility.

Dr. Mercado currently lives in Wesley Chapel with his wife and has a daughter. When he is not healing others, he is attending Mets games, tuning cars, and spending time with his family.
